Wow, thats one word to describe my experience here so far. It’s been two weeks since my last blog, and since then a lot has happened. I last left you with my anticipation of move in day on Saturday, August 28th. Since then, Franklin Pierce has been amazing, exciting, frightening, and confusing all rolled into one. I’m not going to lie, I was kinda homesick the first few days I was here. Also being on my own for the first time also raised some questions in my head. But as I saw my parents walk to their car, wave goodbye, and start driving back to Atkinson, New Hampshire, I knew I started to get my independence. I started quickly to make friends within the first few days. Yes, there were a lot of, I know I’ve seen you before and you told me your name, but I forget it. But there were also a lot of people’s names I did remember. Since that nervous day in August I’ve made a bunch of friends, decided to change my focus from broadcasting to writing, and everything in between. No day is the same, routine wise. Although going to the bubble once a day is a given, I never know which friend(s) I will hang-out with that night. Everything is spontaneous, which I love. Being here for a full two weeks has made me realize that this is definitely where I want to be and I’m really happy with the decision I made back on May 1st to join this wonderful campus. So until next time, take it easy.
