post # 3 – rain, rain go away!!

The weather has taken a turn for the worst here, but I guess a rainy day in paradise beats a normal day anywhere else. And while the weather in the Northeast has been snowy, we have had our fair share of rain down under, Sunday we awoke to a Tsunami warning and all the beaches were closed.

I was a little nervous about this because we aren’t used to tsunamis back in the states. However, the warning passed and its just been raining cats and dogs here ever since.

Besides the little tsunami scare classes started Monday, which left me feeling sort of bittersweet. Don’t get me wrong, studying in Australia is very exciting, but this is the beginning of the end of my college career. I am feeling sort of anxious, but most of all I just want to go out with a bang, maybe even a few great grades.

Despite only having been to two classes here so far, I think it will be a very rewarding, challenging and interesting semester. I will write more in depth about classes next week when I have had them all!

Fortunately I have Wednesdays off from classes, which I’m hoping breaks up the week nicely. It will also be a day for doing my reading assignments or other projects and beach trips :).

Got to run! Wish me luck with classes!

Ta for now!!
