Suffering through the week

This past week, I have been doing nothing but school work. So basically this past week has been nothing but suffering. Forcing myself to sit down in my room alone, all the while hearing the games blaring from the living room. If you do not keep up with videogames, three highly anticipated games came out this week: Brutal Legend, Uncharted 2, and A Boy and His Blob. I knew because of the amount of homework and papers that I had to write, I could not get any of them. On this same week, Toys R Us decided to have a buy two get one free sale on all videogames. I think you see where I am going with that. So my roommate got all three for the price of two. Not only that but my other roommate bought this little game called Halo 3: ODST. So in every room of our place, some videogame was being played. It was horrible.

So let me tell you what I know about each of these games starting with Uncharted 2. It may just be the classic Indiana Jones story, but it is being told far better than at least the last film. Uncharted 2 is really pretty. It is beautiful. It is one of the best looking games I have ever seen. The quality of acting in the game is as good as your average action movie. When characters moved, they look like people instead of robots. It is one of the games that you can show someone who does not play games and convince them that games are worth taking a look at.

Brutal Legend is one of the few games that have made me laugh. I only saw about 30 minutes of it, but boy did it give a good impression. I have to honest I was wondered if Jack Black’s humor was going to overshadow the brilliant writing of Tim Shaffer whom has been working in the industry for over fifteen years. Its a good thing that the only thing it does is embellish it. The game is full of tons of Metal superstars lending their voices to the game. The biggest surprise is that you can understand everything that Ozzy Osbourne is saying, contrary to his days on the Osbournes. Lemmy from Motorhead actually seem like he is the much harder one to understand. I guess that is all I have to say about that game that I have not played.

I barely saw any of the last two but I cannot wait to play them, but as I am writing this I still have even more homework to do. So I guess I will get to it. Crap.
